Own Voice: There are so many main characters but the most important are all white and male which the creators are also.

South Park features an incredibly large cast of characters over its 23 seasons. There are tons of characters for pretty much any identity although it is lacking in a couple areas. The four main characters are all white males and most of the characters are white especially in the earlier seasons. South Park is meant to be a satirical show so the way it addresses tough topics about identity are provocative but it all comes from a place of wanting to educate its viewers. Some episodes are a bit out of touch but the show has grown with time to be an excellent piece of social commentary.
