The two main characters, Jack and Lucky, are Korean but are from LA. The story takes place in Hong Kong as Lucky is a famous K pop star who just finished a tour there and Jack works there.

Lucky takes anxiety medication which is very taboo, especially for celebrities in Asia. She also is on a strict diet for performing but loves food, and eventually gets her managers to let her eat what she wants.

Jack struggles financially as his parents are wealthy bankers and want him to study something similar in college, but he is passionate about photography and has to support himself.
