New Girl has a black main character and another black character that could be considered a main character, as well as an Indian woman and a Jew, but they are all friends of the main character, a white woman. The Jewish character’s Judaism is usually just used as a punchline. He used to be fat, which is shown in flashbacks, but also as a punchline.
